Sponsor Success Stories
Wondering if sponsoring a LEAP HR event is worth your money and resources? We asked past sponsors to share their success stories; here's how we helped them tackle their business challenges...
What business challenge were you facing before sponsoring a LEAP HR event?

In an increasingly competitive marketplace for our solutions, it’s vital for us to cement and retain our position as thought leader of choice.

We’re well known as the go-to provider of compensation insights in our industry. However, our clients increasingly asked broader questions of us in our engagements with them, so we made a strategic decision to expand our offering into the talent advisory space. But because we were so associated with one offering, we needed an independent platform to demonstrate our thought leadership in this new space.

We operate in an extremely competitive space where the challenge that we and our rivals face is to be seen not as transactional vendors, but as consultative partners. To do this, we need to be able to get in front of our prospective market and make that case in a compelling way. We’d tried sponsoring cross industry events and running our own thing, and neither had yet done quite what we wanted it to.

We operate in a space where we are being challenged by a large number of new entrants who provide a competitive solution to ours. That means we need to work hard to make sure we’re the first brand our prospective clients think of when they are looking for solutions like ours.

We’ve got a great product, but to win new business we need to be where our customers are so we can demonstrate its value proposition to them. Given the fact that our market spans the whole country, it can be time consuming and difficult to meet the number of people required to grow our business – especially at the senior level who would sign off on the level of investment we need. The opportunity to have our target market in once place, at one time was one we didn’t want to miss out on.

We need to be where our customers are, but our firm has talent solutions which serve multiple industry verticals, so generic cross industry events are too hit and miss for us. We needed to access high quality, industry specific communities of people leaders who have their own budget, decision making ability, and - above all - a mandate to drive real change inside their organizations.
Why was a LEAP HR event the perfect solution?

Because of the hyper-relevant nature of LEAP HR communities, we recognized LEAP as the ideal platform to allow us to do that; to identify potential clients and build meaningful relationships that we can translate into new business in the future.

LEAP HR events bring together the strategic people leaders at the companies we target and engage them in just the sort of dynamic and provocative dialogue we love to be a part of. Furthermore, because we as partners are woven into the fabric of the event, we are seen as the value-adding members of the community that we are, rather than solely as a solution provider looking to win business.

There is no other event which brings together the who’s who of a particular industry together in one place at one time like LEAP HR events. Because we meet new HR executives every time we take part, we can concentrate our industry engagement activities around these events, rather than trying to do it alone, which is a big help to us.

We have worked with many conference organizers in the past, but the reason the LEAP team was the perfect solution was not only the quality of the audience (which is always first rate), or the size of the events (which is perfect – not too small that we can’t generate enough leads, not too large that we don’t get to meet everyone), but because the team treat our investment as if it was their own money, and we get a level of support and customer care that is superior to anything we’ve experienced elsewhere.

We’d attended other conferences in the past, but LEAP HR events feel different. Not only were the people leaders taking part exactly those hardest to reach through normal means, but they were engaging with the content throughout the whole event in a much more meaningful way than we’ve seen anywhere else. Not only that, but the LEAP team worked hard to customize the audience to our specific needs to ensure the right people were in the room, which we haven’t seen anywhere else.

Because LEAP HR builds such high quality communities of people (talent) leaders across multiple industry sectors, we were able to target multiple markets through just one partner. That not only allowed us to benefit from economies of scale, and know exactly what we were getting at each event, but also meant that we were able to develop a really effective working relationship with the LEAP team, who are second to none.
What happened as a result of being an event partner?

The team we worked with were ideal partners in bringing the right people at the right level to the table and keeping them engaged throughout our partnership. The team has delivered us qualified new leads, allowed us to build valuable new relationships and delivered demonstrable value and we’d absolutely recommend partnering with the LEAP HR team to others.”

We’ve successfully established ourselves as a thought leader in the advisory space, and both deepened and widened our relationships with scores of key companies as a direct result of partnering with LEAP HR events. We’ve made dozens of new contacts, and cemented our relationship with even more existing contacts. Our business is growing fast and LEAP HR events are a key part of the marketing efforts behind that growth.

We’ve worked with the LEAP team for many years now and each engagement is as valuable as the last. Every event provides a great opportunity to build new relationships in a manner that’s much more consultative than other models out there which we find is very conducive to how we like to work with companies. Our escalating involvement in LEAP events over the years demonstrates our belief that they represent a vital part of our industry outreach.

We’ve sponsored six LEAP events this year and at each event our sales teams have walked away with relationships they simply would not have been able to develop through traditional means. These leads have resulted in new relationships, and allowed us to cement our relationship and increase the amount of business we are doing with our existing clients who are in the room too.

Because we were able to spend quality time with a group of prospects we’ve been trying to meet for some time, we’ve been able to open up new conversations – as well as developing existing relationships with people we already know– which give us a real shot at winning new business as a result of the conference. We signed up onsite to return next year because we see the value in co-creating the event over the months ahead, and customizing the audience even further in the future.

The sales teams we send to LEAP HR events tell us that these conferences are a vital part of their business development strategy. They return from each conference with warm leads every time which are actively followed up on, and in a number of cases, the relationships we’ve developed at a LEAP HR event has converted into business potential.
